Pepsi Next review

I dont drink much soda. I havent since I was a teen. But when I do,Im not particularly picky. Ive never really gotten the "soda war" mentality between Coca Cola and Pepsi. They are both good in their own ways, and some of their products are better than others. For instance,I love Lipton, which is a Pepsi product. But I would not be able to choose between that and Nestea, which is a shared partnership product between Coca Cola and Nestle. I love them both equally. Whereas Im not a fan of ANY diet sodas from either brand. They all leave a bad taste in my mouth, and might actually be worse for my health than regular soda. So I always look forward to trying new drinks released from either company.
I saw Pepsi Next in the grocery store on my latest shopping trip, and I had to pick it up just to see if it was as good as people were saying. When I got home,my family had cooked pizza, which was a perfect food to go with the soda. When I first poured it and waited for the fizz to go down,I noticed that it looked and smelled like regular Pepsi, despite having 60% less sugar. I took the first sip. It was very smooth, and I immediately noticed it was less sweet than a regular Pepsi. And believe me,thats a good thing. Sometimes if I drink too fast, soda will burn my throat on the way down. This did not do that. It was smooth the whole way. And tasted fantastic! So I would say its one of the best new Pepsi centered products that has been released in quite awhile. I would recommend it for anyone who likes Pepsi, but wants less sugar without the taste of regular diet soda.
